We are delighted to be featuring this Antique German Brass Wick Lighter or Trench Lighter. Circa late 1800's-1914. It is in Antique Condition. I have not tested to see if it works, but it looks like someone who knows these types of antique items will get it to work fine.
Very unique and interesting, for sure. (We do not clean or polish our antiques, so you receive in as is condition).
It would have been used to light cigarettes or pipes, with a wick soaked in fuel that is ignited by spark. The decorative base and textured body suggest an antique design. The removable cap would have been used to extinguish the flame and prevent fuel evaporation.

It measures approximately 3 1/4” wide at its base, 5” high.

It would make the perfect gift and ready to enjoy on its own or part of your collection!
